Gutters and materials

What is the difference between K-style and half-round gutters?
K-style gutters have a flat back and a decorative front that looks like crown molding, and they carry more water for their width. Half-round gutters are a simple semicircle, traditional on older houses and common in historic districts. Most township homes built since the 1970s have K-style.
Is aluminum or copper better for gutters?
Aluminum is light, rust-free, comes pre-painted and costs far less, which is why most homes use it. Copper costs several times more but weathers to a natural patina and lasts much longer. It is usually chosen for historic or high-end homes, or to match existing copper.
How long do aluminum gutters last?
Angi's 2026 aluminum guide says new aluminum gutters can last up to 30 years when cared for properly. In practice, loose hangers, poor pitch and clogged outlets end most systems early. Keeping them clear and well fastened is what gets you to the long end.

Estimates and payment

Do you offer financing for gutters?
Financing is available, including a 12-month no-interest option. Subject to credit approval. Terms vary; ask for details. You can ask about it when you request an estimate, and the options are explained alongside the written price.
Why don't you have a phone number?
We keep everything in writing. Requests come in through the online form, and we reply during office hours, Monday to Friday, 9 to 5, so dates, prices and scope are always on record. You give us your number on the form only so we can reach you about your own project.
What if a storm damages my gutters or roof edge?
Send the form, start your message with STORM and choose storm damage in the project list. After storm damage we provide emergency tarping within 24 hours to keep water out, then follow with a written repair estimate.
Do you take jobs outside your eight municipalities?
Outside our core area? Send the form and ask. Put your street address in the message and we'll tell you plainly whether we can take the job.

Local rules and weather

Do gutters need to handle heavy downpours here?
Yes. Summer thunderstorms here can drop a lot of rain fast; the September 1, 2026 storms brought up to 1.75 inches in Chester County, per the Daily Local. Sizing gutters and downspouts for those bursts, not average rain, is what keeps water off the walls and foundation.

Cleaning

Can I ask about gutter cleaning when I request an estimate?
Yes. Tell us in the form that you'd like a cleaning, and we'll explain the options when we reply. See the gutter cleaning page for what a visit includes.
Is gutter cleaning one-time or seasonal?
One-time or seasonal: ask when you send the form. Most homes under trees in the West Chester area benefit from a fall visit after the leaves drop and a spring visit after seeds and pollen.
